Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cj Hallinan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Knuckle Duster!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hallinan misses with a double jab

and Duster counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hallinan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Duster has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Hallinan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Duster just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hallinan trying to stall but Duster improves his position.
Duster avoiding damage as Hallinan throws knees to the body.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Duster as Hallinan tries to tie him up.
Hallinan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Duster wants to get back to striking at distance but Hallinan won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duster is pressed up against the cage. Hallinan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Duster down to the mat. Duster avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Duster tries for a takedown but Hallinan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hallinan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cj Hallinan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hallinan but Hallinan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Duster darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Duster trying to control from half guard but Hallinan is working away.
Duster looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Duster lands with a punch from half guard.
Duster is trying to control. Hallinan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duster uses his free foot to push down on Hallinan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hallinan.
Hallinan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Duster is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Duster!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Knuckle Duster!
