In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 39 wins and 14 losses; John Lee! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 3 losses; Dreynos Elvul!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Lee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lee gets underhooks to prevent Elvul's takedown attempt.
Elvul has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lee after a bit of a struggle.
Elvul is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Lee has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Elvul's body.

Lee has the hooks in. Elvul is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Elvul is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lee slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Lee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
I really don't envy Elvul right now.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Lee is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Elvul can't escape the position.

Lee doesn't have the hooks in and Elvul manages to turn into his guard.

Elvul looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lee has picked Elvul up and slammed him! Elvul can't keep hold of the triangle and Lee manages to pass to side control!
