This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 23 losses; Bartlomiej Jan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 5 losses; Elazar Shalit! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Shalit has closed the distance and engaged Jan in a clinch.
Shalit has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jan after a bit of a struggle. Jan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shalit is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jan tries to score a body lock takedown but Shalit shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shalit has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bartlomiej Jan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elazar Shalit. Shalit can't get the takedown.
Shalit has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jan regains guard immediately. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Jan (0) vs (2) Shalit Jan wants to control but Shalit passes easily into half guard.
Jan's coaches at London MMA Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shalit passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jan! That's one minute gone in the round. Shalit is looking to work his way around to Jan's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Jan is looking to improve his position but Shalit isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jan has given up his back. Will we see Shalit going for some submissions?

Shalit is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jan has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Shalit has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jan taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Shalit doesn't care though - he's delighted!
