Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michel Agro (ranked 3743 p4p, 3672 weight class) and Andy Slappin (ranked 328 p4p, 320 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Slappin!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slappin tries to clinch but Agro is having none of it.
Agro attempts a counter takedown but Slappin avoids it well and moves away.

and Agro counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Agro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Slappin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Agro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Slappin's guard.

Agro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Agro is working for a kimura but Slappin is defending it quite comfortably.

Slappin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Agro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slappin has managed to get both his arms back between Agro's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Agro wants to take the fight to the mat but Slappin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Agro changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Slappin fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The referee is keeping an eye on Slappin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

I think Slappin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
