Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Green Bastard (ranked 3914 p4p, 5577 weight class) and Gavril Lukov (ranked 413 p4p, 476 weight class). Lukov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Take_it_Back_v2 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Gavril Lukov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Green Bastard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gavril Lukov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Lukov slams his shin into Bastard's torso.
Bastard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lukov is looking for a sweep. Bastard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bastard controls the position.
Bastard tries for a kimura but Lukov is defending well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Bastard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lukov for as long as he can get away with.

Lukov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bastard is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bastard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bastard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lukov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lukov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
