Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rich Combs (ranked 3025 p4p, 4956 weight class) and Kang Richards (ranked 269 p4p, 373 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Combs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kang Richards!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Combs closes the distance looking to clinch

and Richards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Richards seems content to control.
Let's hope that Richards has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richards's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Richards.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Yet more stalling tactics from Richards.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Combs tries to clinch but Richards moves away

and Richards counters with a single leg into guard. Combs didn't expect that.

Richards engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
More stalling from Richards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Combs is breathing heavily.
It looks like Richards might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Richards passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Richards moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kang Richards dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Combs gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Richards counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kang Richards has got the better of the ground game so far.

Combs looks like he's trying to stand up.
Richards is controlling the pace.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kang Richards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Richards stands and throws Combs's legs to the side, diving into side control.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Richards working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Richards has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kang Richards is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Rich Combs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kang Richards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Richards has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
