Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kade Ruotolo (ranked 4272 p4p, 25273 weight class) and Andrew Callaghan Iv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kade Ruotolo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Callaghan Iv! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruotolo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ruotolo trying to control the action but Callaghan Iv is working from the bottom. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ruotolo in particular looking to stall. Callaghan Iv won't allow Ruotolo to pass to mount. Ruotolo trying to advance position but Callaghan Iv counters by regaining guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Callaghan Iv looking for a guillotine here but Ruotolo defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruotolo trying to move into half guard but instead Callaghan Iv has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruotolo wants to control but Callaghan Iv passes easily into half guard.
Callaghan Iv wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruotolo keeps working. Callaghan Iv escapes and gets back to his feet. Callaghan Iv fails with a takedown attempt. Kade Ruotolo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Callaghan Iv gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Callaghan Iv wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ruotolo manages to pass to side control. Still in half guard, Ruotolo seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruotolo trying to mount his opponent but Callaghan Iv defends it. Ruotolo is working hard here to advance position. Callaghan Iv trying to control here.
Callaghan Iv is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Callaghan Iv looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callaghan Iv desperately trying to maintain half guard. Ruotolo wants to control but Callaghan Iv is keeping him busy. Callaghan Iv is defending against the submission attempts here by Ruotolo.
Ruotolo trying to pass the guard but Callaghan Iv defending well. Callaghan Iv is staying active underneath Ruotolo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ruotolo wants to pass to mount but Callaghan Iv is defending the position. Ruotolo working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Callaghan Iv's thigh. Callaghan Iv counters though and makes it back to full guard. Ruotolo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Callaghan Iv is keeping the position for now. Callaghan Iv manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ruotolo manages to get himself to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ruotolo is trying to keep Callaghan Iv in close.
Ruotolo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Callaghan Iv gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Andrew Callaghan Iv will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Callaghan Iv gets caught flat footed, as Ruotolo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ruotolo wants to pass the guard but Callaghan Iv is keeping the position. Ruotolo looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ruotolo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Callaghan Iv is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Callaghan Iv has escaped and now he's on top!

Ruotolo won't enjoy being in this position. Callaghan Iv looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Ruotolo is tapping - it's over boys! Callaghan Iv picks up the submission victory!
