The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Archer clinches. Archer gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Esteves.
Archer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Archer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Esteves content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Archer has locked up a guillotine! Archer's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Esteves is holding on here and Archer must be using up a lot of energy. Esteves has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Archer gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Able Archer! Able Archer thanked the fans post fight for their support. |
