Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hobo Leg (ranked 2951 p4p, 3318 weight class) and Shadow Island Five (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hobo Leg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shadow Island Five! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Five moves out of range as Leg throws a body kick.
Five tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Five closes the distance but Leg moves to the side and Leg counters with a nice body shot. Five clinches. Five is trying to pull guard but Leg turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Five pulls guard. Leg wants to control from the top but Five keeps moving. Five throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Five has an active guard here but Leg has managed to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Five wants to sweep but Leg has passed to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Leg wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Five, who protects the arm well. Five tries to improve position but can't. Leg looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Five tries to get back to half guard but can't. Leg tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Leg is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Five is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Five is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Leg off and has taken his back! Five controlling the position well here. Leg rolled but Five kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leg tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leg breaks Five's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Five wants to sweep but no luck. Five working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Five has his foot on Leg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leg works his way back into a safe position though. Leg tries to free his leg and advance position but Five is retaining full guard. Five working for a triangle but Leg defends it easily.
Leg trying to control the position from guard on top but Five is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leg preventing the sweep. Five looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Five had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Leg defends it easily. Leg is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Five wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Leg is now in half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shadow Island Five will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Five instigates a clinch. Leg tries a knee to the head but Five blocks it.
Five has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Leg uses from the top position. Five looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Leg passes into half guard.
Five makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Five. Five is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leg is posturing up here but Five has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Leg tries to roll out but it's too tight and Leg has to tap! Slick submission there by Five!
