Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santino Cabal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Woodie Maykit!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal looks to score with a jab to the body but Maykit is just out of range.
Cabal tries to bum rush Maykit with a series of wild strikes but Maykit uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cabal looks to land a right hand but Maykit moved out of range.
Cabal lands a jab.
Cabal loads up on a big right hand but Maykit slips the punch.
Maykit shapes to counter with a head kick.
Cabal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Maykit showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cabal.
Maykit throws a big counter head kick but Cabal avoids it with no problem.

Cabal lands a big head kick that sends Maykit tumbling to the mat! Cabal takes a step backwards and waves Maykit back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Woodie Maykit has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cabal throws the left hand but Maykit avoids the punch easily.

I was talking to Cabal's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Cabal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cabal jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cabal cracks Maykit with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cabal works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cabal throws a looping overhand right but Maykit ducks down to avoid it.
Maykit raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Cabal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cabal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Maykit is rocked!
Cabal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maykit doesn't seem bothered though.
and Cabal counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Maykit! He's just covering up as Cabal starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Santino Cabal!
A very excited looking Santino Cabal rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
