PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anno Bik (ranked 2725 p4p, 2050 weight class) and Pete Os (ranked 382 p4p, 298 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anno Bik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Os!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bik misses with a hook
and Os connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bik misses with a head kick.
Bik walks into a jab.
Bik throws a poor cross that misses
and Os counters with a straight right hand.
Bik misses with an uppercut. Os saw that one coming.
Os is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Bik gets a clinch.

Os manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Os. No joy for Bik on that attempt.
Bik lands a lovely overhand right.
Bik throws a looping overhand right but Os ducks down to avoid it.
Bik ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bik looks to land a right hand but Os moved out of range.
It seemed like Os was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Anno Bik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Os on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Os looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bik darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bik lands with a nice body punch.
Bik defending well as Os loads up on a big left hand.
Bik bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bik fails to land the takedown.
Os takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Os staying out of range there.
Bik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Os.
Bik misses with a wild body shot.
Os throws a shot from downtown. Bik moves away and avoids it.
Os swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bik.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anno Bik. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bik slips under a jab.
Bik throws a head kick that misses.
Bik dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bik misses the jab.
Os swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Os moves away from the strike by Bik.
Bik avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bik throws a body punch but Os moves out of range.

Bik closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Os did well to prevent Bik getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Os is trying to maintain the position but Bik is very close to passing his half guard.

Bik seems to be working for a kimura but Os defends the submission attempt.

Bik is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Os doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bik.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bik seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Os is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
