Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jey Uso (ranked 2756 p4p, 3289 weight class) and Small Dayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uso displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dayton .
Horrible takedown attempt by Dayton or perhaps it was just good defense by Uso, which made it look bad.
Uso changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dayton shoots for a takedown but Uso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jey Uso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Small Dayton .

Dayton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Uso's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Uso holds on and takes a little breather.
Uso's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dayton felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
