Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andre Canavieiras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabe Shade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canavieiras's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Massacration. On his way into the cage it seems that Andre Canavieiras has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Andre Canavieiras seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Canavieiras!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabe Shade!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shade looks to land a right hand but Canavieiras moved out of range.
Shade rushes Canavieiras and presses him up against the cage.
Canavieiras is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shade pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Shade pulls guard effortlessly.
Canavieiras thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shade trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Shade is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shade has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Canavieiras doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Canavieiras manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Shade had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Canavieiras is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Shade Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Canavieiras's back instead.
Shade punches the canvas rather than the man.
Can Canavieiras hold on?! Shade is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Shade has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Shade lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Shade wants to control but Canavieiras manages to buck him off and is now in Shade's guard! Nice work there by Canavieiras!

Canavieiras postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Shade is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Canavieiras, into his guard.
Shade sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Canavieiras's guard.

Shade drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Canavieiras manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shade has Canavieiras in his guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Canavieiras throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shade.
Shade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Canavieiras swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Canavieiras avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Shade, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Shade is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Canavieiras can't fight it off and eventually Shade manages to take the fight to the floor. Canavieiras looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Canavieiras escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Shade! Canavieiras is hurt baaadly! Shade is firing away with more strikes - Canavieiras is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
