The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyrra fails with a takedown attempt.
Hyrra looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hyrra throws a right hand that misses
and Godwin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hyrra thinking.
Hyrra shoots in but Godwin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Godwin was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Janko Godwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matto Hyrra.
Hyrra drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Godwin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hyrra's best efforts.

Godwin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hyrra gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hyrra passes Godwin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Godwin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hyrra defends well.
Hyrra won't allow Godwin to get back to his feet.

Hyrra wants to control from the top but Godwin keeps moving.
Hyrra drops back, looking for a kneebar! Godwin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Godwin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Godwin!

Godwin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hyrra looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Godwin throws a strike but Hyrra manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Godwin tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
