This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 30 losses; Torkel Bystrom! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 7 losses; Jaxon Bremner! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Bystrom darts in and clinches Bremner up against the cage. Bystrom manages to pull guard.
Bystrom is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bremner defends well. Bystrom has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Bremner forces his way into half guard. Bremner passes the guard and advances to mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Bystrom (0) vs (3) Bremner Bremner wants to control the pace but Bystrom is squirming around nicely. Bremner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bystrom manages to avoid the submission attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bremner is looking to take a break and control but Bystrom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bremner is trying to get an arm triangle but Bystrom is defending well. Bystrom manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Bystrom (2) vs (3) Bremner Bremner is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bystrom jumps into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Bystrom (5) vs (3) Bremner Bremner struggling a bit here. Bremner sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bystrom seems to be working for a kimura but Bremner defends the submission attempt. Bremner trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Bystrom will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bystrom wants to pass to mount but Bremner is defending the position. Bystrom is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bystrom is looking to stall here but Bremner recovers full guard. Bystrom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bystrom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bystrom wants to control from the top but Bremner keeps moving. Bremner looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bremner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bystrom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bremner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bystrom wants to control from the top but Bremner keeps moving. Bremner has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bystrom doesn't defend quickly enough and Bremner has managed to lock this one up! Can Bystrom escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bremner on a fantastic submission victory.
