Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cooper (ranked 641 p4p, 3058 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 34 p4p, 145 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 42 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper throws a series of punches but Meyer moves out of range.
Meyer feints the counter takedown.
Cooper throws a lazy right hand but Meyer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Meyer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Cooper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cooper has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Meyer rushes Cooper and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Meyer tries to pull guard but Cooper holds him up against the cage and eventually Meyer drops back down to his feet.
Meyer is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cooper is keeping busy.

Cooper is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Meyer is defending well for now.

Cooper's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Cooper swings wildly with an uppercut but Meyer uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cooper stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cooper wants it to stay on the feet.

Meyer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Meyer there as he acknowledges the shot.

Meyer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cooper stays in close to Meyer's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meyer keeping moving, preventing Cooper from controlling successfully.
Meyer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Meyer is looking to advance position but Cooper won't allow it.
Cooper tries to roll over but Meyer keeps him under control.
Meyer tries to pass to full mount but Cooper defends it.
Cooper is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meyer wants to stand up but Cooper has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Cooper stuns Meyer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The crowd cheers as Cooper lands an impressive looking overhand right. Meyer doesn't seem phased though.

Cooper closes the distance and clinches up with Meyer, looking for a takedown. Cooper pushes Meyer against the cage but Meyer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cooper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Meyer goes for a double leg but Cooper avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cooper continues to drive forward.
Cooper lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cooper misses the jab.
As Cooper backs off Meyer throws a huge counter combo but Cooper manages to avoid it all.

Meyer slips under a jab.
Meyer unleashes a big counter combination but Cooper bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Cooper lands with a right hand.
Meyer lands with an uppercut that bounces Cooper off the cage and back into range.

Meyer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cooper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cooper uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Meyer has time to react.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cooper closes the distance looking for a takedown. Meyer stuffs it but Cooper still has hold of him. Cooper picks Meyer up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Cooper slams Meyer to the floor and that's really hurt Meyer - he doesn't know where he is! Cooper throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
