Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Baddock (ranked 1256 p4p, 434 weight class) and Isaac Newton (ranked 145 p4p, 57 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Newton digs a good hook to Baddock's body.
Baddock lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A head kick from Baddock lands but Newton takes it in his stride.
Newton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baddock manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Brendan Baddock has been cut.

Baddock has left one of his arms exposed and Newton doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Baddock screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
