The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaCroix throws a series of punches but Kawabata moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Kawabata misses the target.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by LaCroix!

It looks like Hikaru Kawabata has been cut.
LaCroix takes a swing at Kawabata's ribcage but misses.

Nice combo by LaCroix! Oh, that's hurt him - Kawabata falls to the canvas and LaCroix follows him into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kawabata reaches up around LaCroix's neck trying to control. But LaCroix takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Kawabata! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Kawabata is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and LaCroix celebrates the victory with the fans!
