Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Anpastapoulos (ranked 2807 p4p, 5304 weight class) and Unk Adunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roman Anpastapoulos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Unk Adunk! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adunk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Anpastapoulos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Adunk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Adunk throws a body punch but Anpastapoulos moves out of range. Anpastapoulos moves away from the strike by Adunk. Adunk scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anpastapoulos doesn't seem bothered though. Adunk misses with a straight right. Anpastapoulos fails in his attempt to clinch. Adunk scores with a nice head shot. Anpastapoulos takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Adunk throws a jab when Anpastapoulos was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adunk lands with an overhand left. Adunk displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adunk misses with a looping right. Adunk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Adunk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Anpastapoulos is looking to clinch but Adunk is avoiding it.
Adunk throws a right and a left that both miss. Unk Adunk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anpastapoulos tries to clinch up but Adunk circles away and keeps his distance. Adunk just misses with a punch to the body.

and Anpastapoulos counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Anpastapoulos jumps guard but Adunk stands there with Anpastapoulos around his waist. Anpastapoulos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Adunk throws a strike but Anpastapoulos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Anpastapoulos stops Adunk from standing up. Anpastapoulos controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anpastapoulos stopping the sweep attempt from Adunk. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adunk can do anything to dispel that myth. Adunk seems keen to control Anpastapoulos's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adunk being controlled here, momentarily. Anpastapoulos advances position into side control! Adunk can't do much from the bottom here. Anpastapoulos takes a little break here. Adunk wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Anpastapoulos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Adunk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Anpastapoulos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Adunk keeps working. Adunk reaches up around Anpastapoulos's neck trying to control. But Anpastapoulos takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Adunk! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Adunk is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Anpastapoulos celebrates the victory with the fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Roman Anpastapoulos! Roman Anpastapoulos spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
