The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benoit lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Benoit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Benoit thuds his right hand into Chugunov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
James Benoit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
