Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Renato Arbani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Exotic Winner! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winner fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Arbani to the ground. Winner is now in Arbani's guard. Arbani is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Winner would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Arbani bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Winner's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arbani pushes down on Winner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Winner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Arbani passes Winner's left leg - he's now in half guard. Arbani is working for a kimura but Winner is defending it quite comfortably.
Winner wants to improve his position but Arbani is controlling well.
Arbani seems to be looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winner is in trouble now - Arbani has advanced to mount! Winner tries to reverse the position but Arbani maintains control. Arbani moves to the back position. Winner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arbani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Arbani is working for a rear naked choke. Winner is not defending it well and Arbani has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Winner refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Winner's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
