Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Helio De Lima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hurry Fobbs!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Fobbs as he connects with a hook.

De Lima closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - De Lima lands in his opponent's guard.

De Lima slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fobbs can do anything to dispel that myth.

De Lima drops back looking for a leg! Fobbs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fobbs manages to kick De Lima off! De Lima jumps back into Fobbs's guard.
De Lima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

De Lima is nestled in close to Fobbs, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

De Lima is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fobbs has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

De Lima wants to work for an arm triangle but Fobbs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fobbs has hold of De Lima's hands but De Lima slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Helio De Lima dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

De Lima dives in for a single leg takedown but Fobbs sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fobbs breaks the clinch.
Fobbs tests De Lima's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No luck for De Lima with that takedown attempt.
De Lima misses with a takedown attempt - Fobbs sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio De Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fobbs connects with a single shot there.
De Lima looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fobbs is fending him off so far but De Lima persists. Nope, Fobbs circles away and we're back to standing.
Fobbs connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fobbs stuffs the takedown.
De Lima misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fobbs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Lima dives in and grabs Fobbs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fobbs pushes down on De Lima's head and hops out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
De Lima is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
De Lima shoots for a takedown but Fobbs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fobbs works De Lima's body with a nice hook.
De Lima looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A lazy left from Fobbs finds it's target.
Fobbs works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fobbs connects with a good right hand that stumbles De Lima. De Lima circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

De Lima takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fobbs connects with a right hand. De Lima shakes it off.
Hurry Fobbs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
De Lima walks into a straight right hand from Fobbs.

De Lima is rocked!
Fobbs steps in with a hook that catches De Lima right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Fobbs follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! De Lima looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hurry Fobbs!
