The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Gentry.
Gentry misses with a hook.
Halme throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Halme lands a head kick. Gentry smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Julius Gentry has been cut.
Gentry misses the jab.
Halme blocks a jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gentry stalling in the clinch but Halme improves position.
Gentry tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Halme lands an elbow inside that Gentry shrugs off.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gentry on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gentry misses with a punch on the inside.
Gentry has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Halme tries to pull guard but Gentry won't allow it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gentry.
Gentry can't find room to land a body shot as Halme controls the action.
Halme is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee is keeping an eye on Gentry - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Halme has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gentry uses from the top position.
Halme manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gentry manages to get himself to full guard.

Halme thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Halme decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Halme closes the distance and clinches.

Halme tries to score a body lock takedown but Gentry shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Gentry tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Halme tightens his grip and picks Gentry up, before dumping him to the ground. Gentry manages to land in guard.
Halme is standing up over Gentry. Gentry looks to escape but Halme dives into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Halme looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Halme looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gentry takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Halme is working Gentry over with some ground and pound from side control.

Julius Gentry's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Halme wants to control but Gentry is keeping him busy.
Halme connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gentry some visible discomfort.

Jeez, Julius Gentry's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

After the fight, Tony Halme was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
