The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yerzhanov shoots in for a double leg but Cutter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yerzhanov shoots in for a takedown but Cutter shows good takedown defense.
Cutter misses with a head kick.
Yerzhanov is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Cutter closes the distance and clinches.
Yerzhanov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cutter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
King Cutter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turlan Yerzhanov.

It looks like Turlan Yerzhanov has been cut.
Yerzhanov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cutter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Yerzhanov wants to take the fight to the mat but Cutter manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That has opened up Turlan Yerzhanov's cut even more.
Yerzhanov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cutter pulls his leg out and moves away.

Yerzhanov gets tackled into the cage by Cutter. Cutter maintains the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cutter takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Cutter lands a vicious elbow to the side of Yerzhanov's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Cutter tries to finish him with strikes but Yerzhanov still seems able to defend himself so Cutter steps back and lets Yerzhanov get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Yerzhanov is rocked!

The cut above Turlan Yerzhanov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Cutter lands an elbow that stopped Yerzhanov in his tracks for a moment.

Turlan Yerzhanov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Clinched against the cage, Cutter lands a big elbow that drops Yerzhanov! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Yerzhanov is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
