Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Fransisco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kartoffeln Suppe! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suppe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fransisco at a distance.
Fransisco shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Suppe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Suppe lands a nice looking body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fransisco is defended easily by Suppe. Suppe let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Suppe scores with a body shot.
Suppe circles away from the clinch attempt.
A swing and a miss from Fransisco. Suppe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fransisco.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suppe stuns Fransisco with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Fransisco clinches up against the cage. Suppe lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short right from Suppe on the inside. Fransisco is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suppe lands with a short head shot on the inside. Fransisco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fransisco has managed to clinch.
Fransisco tries to pull guard but Suppe won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Fransisco. That's going to take a lot out of him. Suppe makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Fransisco successfully pulls guard.
Fransisco bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Suppe's guard. Fransisco content to stall in guard here. Fransisco postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suppe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fransisco is aware though and is defending well. Fransisco pushes down on Suppe's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fransisco is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fransisco passes the guard and advances to mount! Fransisco looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fransisco avoids the attempt from Suppe to control. Fransisco landing strikes, looking to finish! Fransisco tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Suppe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fransisco is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Suppe is forced to tap! Great finish!
