Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Batara Sari (ranked 2695 p4p, 3619 weight class) and Bernard Edwards (ranked 326 p4p, 408 weight class). Bernard Edwards told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards clinches up with Sari and pushes him back against the cage.
Sari fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Edwards lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sari backwards.

Edwards will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sari up against the cage.

Edwards has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Edwards counters with a nice body shot.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sari gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Edwards gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

After winning the bout, Bernard Edwards thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
