Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Rusev (ranked 6042 p4p, 5955 weight class) and Kade Ruotolo (ranked 567 p4p, 566 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Rusev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kade Ruotolo!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruotolo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rusev to the mat! Rusev manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rusev wants to sweep but no luck.
Ruotolo sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ruotolo won't allow Rusev to sweep him here.

Rusev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ruotolo keeps trying to improve his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rusev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rusev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ruotolo as he jumps to the side.

Ruotolo is controlling the pace.
Ruotolo is looking to pass Rusev's guard but actually Rusev recovers to full guard.
Ruotolo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rusev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rusev has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ruotolo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rusev has tightened it up now! Ruotolo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
