Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Faulk (ranked 717 p4p, 2075 weight class) and Marko Bakar (ranked 99 p4p, 261 weight class). Marko Bakar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Faulk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marko Bakar! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bakar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice shot by Bakar. Faulk is looking to land body kicks. Bakar takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bakar tries to clinch there but Faulk circles away.
Bakar connects with a crisp jab. Faulk walks into a jab. A head kick misses from Bakar. Faulk is looking for a counter combo. Bakar takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Faulk swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jab, jab by Bakar - just one landing. Bakar goes for a high kick. It partially lands. This has been an exciting period of action! Faulk clinches with his opponent.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Faulk takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A frustrated look appears on Bakar's face as he tries to break the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bakar is looking to break free of the clinch but Faulk has double underhooks. Bakar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bakar swings wildly with an uppercut but Faulk uses good head movement to avoid it. Faulk stalling against the cage.

Bakar misses with a hook from the clinch. Bakar throws a head punch that misses. Faulk taking a breather. Bakar lands an uppercut. A short right from Bakar on the inside. Bakar swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faulk works on Bakar's body with a couple of short punches. Bakar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Bakar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Faulk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bakar circles away quickly and effectively. Faulk takes the fight into the clinch. Bakar misses with some punches.

Bakar scores with a shoulder strike. Faulk throws a punch but it's blocked by Bakar. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Faulk's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Faulk is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Bakar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bakar scores with a jab to the jaw. Faulk avoids the head kick by Bakar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bakar throws a head kick but Faulk moves out of range.
Bakar scores with a punch to the head. Faulk tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bakar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Faulk takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Faulk lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bakar throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A slapping leg kick lands for Faulk.
Jab by Bakar. Bakar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Faulk. Bakar misses with an attempted mid kick.
Faulk appears to be looking for a big counter. Bakar throws a head kick that misses. A clash of legs there as Bakar blocks the low kick. Bakar looks like he wants to counter punch here. Bakar scores with a sloppy right hand. Faulk should have avoided that one. Faulk takes one on the button. Faulk misses with a hook. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bakar! But no joy. This has been an exciting period of action! Bakar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faulk walks into a stiff left hand from Bakar. Bakar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Bakar connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Bakar throws a head kick but Faulk moves out of range.

Faulk takes a kick to the side of the head. Bakar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Faulk. Faulk wants to clinch up but Bakar keeps it at a distance. Marko Bakar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bakar tries to clinch but Faulk is having none of it. Faulk takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Faulk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Faulk doesn't manage to clinch there - Bakar circles away.
We've been told by Faulk's head coaches at Sparks gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Bakar is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A telegraphed right hand from Bakar misses the target. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Marko Bakar dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Faulk ducks under a wild hook from Bakar. Bakar swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Faulk. Faulk looks to score with a jab to the body but Bakar is just out of range. Faulk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Faulk tries to clinch up. Bakar lands with a straight right. Faulk didn't see that one coming. Good standup being displayed there by Bakar as he connects with a hook. Nice jab there from Bakar. Faulk looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Bakar scores with a jab. Faulk acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Bakar slips a jab and a cross from Faulk.
Faulk on the wrong end of a nice hook. Bakar lands a jab to the head.
Faulk is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bakar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Oh Faulk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bakar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A quick step to the side and Faulk tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Bakar throws an overhand right that drops Faulk like a sack of potatoes! Bakar dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marko Bakar! Our winner, Marko Bakar, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
