Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chase Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peeta Mellark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peeta Mellark! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mellark keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mellark closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bryant circles away. Mellark misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mellark throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mellark gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mellark lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Mellark prevents the takedown attempt.
Mellark wants to break free but Bryant has control.

and Bryant counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mellark utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mellark wants to stand but Bryant is controlling the position. Mellark controls Bryant momentarily but Bryant frees himself. Bryant is in close to Mellark's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryant stands and steps away. Mellark gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bryant misses with a takedown attempt - Mellark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mellark falls off balance throwing a combination

He's got hold of a leg but Mellark swivels and escapes. Mellark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bryant. Bryant pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Bryant takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Mellark throws a series of punches but Bryant moves out of range. Bryant tries to clinch up but Mellark circles away and keeps his distance. Mellark scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Bryant loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bryant trying to control but Mellark is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bryant misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mellark wants to control but Bryant postures up. Bryant stands up. Peeta Mellark has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bryant shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mellark tries to hold on but Bryant pushes him away. Bryant lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mellark hang on?
And that's the end of the fight! Chase Bryant showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bryant, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
