This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 5 losses; Tim Smooth! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 5 losses; Cactus Jack! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Smooth shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Smooth was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Smooth (4) vs (0) Jack Smooth in side control, just content to control the action for now. Smooth gets to mount! Jack was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Score +2 for reaching mount: Smooth (6) vs (0) Jack The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jack defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Smooth. Smooth controlling from the full mount. Jack tries to reverse the position but Smooth maintains control. Smooth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack manages to regain half guard. Good work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Smooth in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack actively working from the bottom here. Jack is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Smooth pulls his head out easily. Jack looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Smooth moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Jack. Score +3 for passing guard: Smooth (9) vs (0) Jack Smooth advances to mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Smooth (11) vs (0) Jack Jack is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jack tries to improve his position but Smooth has taken his back! Smooth has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Jack tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Smooth pushes Jack away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
