Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Griggs (ranked 3587 p4p, 25055 weight class) and Branko Banik (ranked 452 p4p, 617 weight class). The key to victory for Vinny Griggs has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vinny Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Branko Banik!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Griggs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Griggs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griggs tries to get out of the position.
Banik creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Griggs is looking to regain half guard here but Banik keeps moving and retains side control.

My spies in Canucks Combat Club inform me that Banik has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

A big shot lands for Banik! That's hurt Griggs! Will he recover? Banik fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
