Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Wylie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Goobey Goober !
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goober closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Goober ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Goober no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Goober is trying to keep Wylie in close.
Goober is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wylie trying to control the position from guard on top but Goober is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wylie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Goober 's head.
Wylie cracks Goober with a solid left hand.
Wylie forces his way into half guard.
Wylie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Goober !
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wylie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Goober can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wylie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Goober , who protects the arm well.

Wylie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Goober looks calm but he's in trouble here. Wylie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Goober is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Wylie lets go of the hold and Goober can pop his arm back in it's socket.
