Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23817 p4p, 6249 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 60 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 53 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter A has his hands on Fighter B's head, controlling the position. Fighter B sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A looking to control.
Fighter A looking for a sweep. Not yet Fighter A, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter A throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter B's waist but Fighter B gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter A off to one side. Fighter B is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter A sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown but Fighter B shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fighter A shoots in but Fighter B avoids the takedown attempt easily. Fighter B looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter A shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter B sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter A's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fighter A drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fighter B working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter A. Fighter B seems keen to control Fighter A's posture. Fighter B is continuing to stall. Let's hope that Fighter B has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter A scoring with punches to the head and body. Fighter B avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fighter B wants to get back to his feet but Fighter A is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Horrible takedown attempt by Fighter A or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter B, which made it look bad. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Fighter A scores with a nice body kick.
Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter B, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes Fighter B against the cage but Fighter B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fighter B throws a fast counter high kick but Fighter A manages to duck under it in time. A momentary lapse in concentration from Fighter A enables Fighter B to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fighter A manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A pulls Fighter B in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter A wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Fighter A being controlled here, momentarily. Fighter A controls Fighter B momentarily but Fighter B frees himself. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fighter B sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter A sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Fighter B throws a lazy body kick and Fighter A counters with a single leg into guard. Fighter B didn't expect that. Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fighter A accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fighter A content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter B holds on and takes a little breather. Fighter B bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fighter A's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter B is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fighter A has Fighter B pulled in close to control his posture. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fighter A looking for a sweep. Not yet Fighter A, not yet. Fighter B wants to pass the guard but Fighter A is keeping the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B controls from within his opponent's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod. That's time! Fighter A's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Fighter A shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter B manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter A's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fighter B crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fighter A - the referee stops the clock and Fighter B gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fighter A. Fighter B manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Fighter B shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fighter B showed some decent athleticism there. Fighter B content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B controlling the action here. Fighter A is pressing down on Fighter B's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fighter B engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fighter A pulls Fighter B in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter B stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter A. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fighter B manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fighter B thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Fighter A throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter A throwing strikes from guard but Fighter B blocks nicely. Fighter A being controlled here momentarily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B wants to sweep here but Fighter A controlling him for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fighter A has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
