This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 19 losses; Marc Read! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Archimedes Sparbot!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.

Read wants to clinch up but Sparbot keeps it at a distance.
Sparbot is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Sparbot darts in and clinches Read up against the ropes.
Sparbot jumps guard and drags Read to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Sparbot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've been hearing good reports from Read's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Sparbot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Read has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sparbot has managed to get both his arms back between Read's legs - danger averted.

Read is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sparbot knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sparbot for a finish.

Sparbot is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Read gets his way!

Sparbot is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Read off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Sparbot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sparbot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

You can see the frustration on Sparbot's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Read is working for a rear naked choke. Sparbot is not defending it well and Read has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Sparbot refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Sparbot's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
