This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 28 wins and 30 losses; Prana Halo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Jacque Joteel!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Halo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Joteel trying to keep a closed guard but Halo is proving a slippery customer.
Joteel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Joteel is looking for a sweep. Halo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Halo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Joteel is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Halo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Halo is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Joteel is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Joteel flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Halo anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Joteel and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Halo slips an arm under Joteel chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Halo has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Halo is squeezing on Joteel like an anaconda would it's prey. Joteel fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
