This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 30 losses; Ruben Gracie! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 19 wins and 24 losses; Billy Turturro!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Gracie fails with the takedown.
Gracie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Turturro.
Billy Turturro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turturro stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Turturro darts in and clinches Gracie up against the ropes.

Turturro manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Turturro is pulling down on Gracie's head. It's preventing any offense from Gracie, at least for the moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Turturro wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gracie is now in half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Turturro defends it well.

Gracie moves to his opponent's back but Turturro bucks him off and ends up in guard. A bit of a disaster there for Gracie.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turturro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turturro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gracie tries to get to full guard but Turturro has control of the leg.
Turturro is taking a breather. Gracie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Turturro is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Turturro content to control rather than advance.

Gracie wants to control but Turturro is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Turturro is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gracie wants to get back to full guard.
Gracie is looking to control Turturro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted?

Turturro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Turturro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Turturro pulls his head out easily.

Turturro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Turturro wins on points by 7 to 4.
