Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Higgins (ranked 479 p4p, 231 weight class) and Giro Inhanamoto (ranked 64 p4p, 28 weight class). Liam Higgins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Liam Higgins! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giro Inhanamoto! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inhanamoto instigates a clinch. Inhanamoto lands a shot to the body. A head punch blocked on the inside by Higgins. Higgins is trying to break free. Higgins is looking to break free of the clinch but Inhanamoto has double underhooks. Higgins misses with a punch on the inside.
Inhanamoto lands with a short shot to the head.
Higgins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Higgins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Inhanamoto counters with a series of strikes. Higgins will be more careful next time no doubt. Higgins misses with the body kick and Inhanamoto counters with a stiff right hand.
 It looks like Liam Higgins has been cut. A shot to the body from Higgins misses and Inhanamoto counters with a straight right hand.
Inhanamoto has Higgins up against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Inhanamoto tries to throw a body punch but Higgins avoids it by throwing Inhanamoto back against the cage. Inhanamoto lands with a light punch inside. A hook to the body from Inhanamoto.
Higgins breaks from the clinch.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Inhanamoto slips a straight right by Higgins. Higgins throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Inhanamoto counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A telegraphed right hand from Inhanamoto misses the target. Higgins misses the jab. Inhanamoto dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Higgins. Higgins misses with a body punch
and Inhanamoto counters with a stiff right hand. Higgins misses with an attempted mid kick.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto connects with a looping right hand.
Higgins throws a lazy body kick and Inhanamoto counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Inhanamoto looks to land a left hand but Higgins moved out of range nicely. Inhanamoto lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Inhanamoto misses the shot to the body. It looked like Higgins wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Inhanamoto works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Higgins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Inhanamoto.
Inhanamoto has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Higgins is landing a low percentage of strikes. Inhanamoto throws the left hand but Higgins avoids the punch easily. Higgins throwing a counter right hand but Inhanamoto manages to avoid it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Higgins throws a half hearted mid kick. Inhanamoto throws a counter combo. Inhanamoto feints with a jab and clips Higgins right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Higgins is sent crashing into the canvas and Inhanamoto leaps in for the kill! Higgins tries to get to his feet but Inhanamoto is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Higgins is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giro Inhanamoto! Giro Inhanamoto is the new heavyweight champion! An out of breath Giro Inhanamoto thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
