Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mano Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karl Jackson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mano Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Jackson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Silva shoots and misses and Jackson counters with a nice body kick.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson. Mano Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Jackson. Jackson has his takedown stuffed and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jackson! Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jackson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jackson! Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Jackson is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Silva's guard. Jackson wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silva tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jackson stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Silva tries to clinch but Jackson moves away and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jackson wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Silva. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jackson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silva tries to clinch up and Jackson counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt. Jackson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jackson tries to clinch up. Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva lands a right hook to the body.
Silva tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jackson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silva's guard! Nice work there by Jackson! Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get! No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt. Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jackson pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet. Silva darts in trying to clinch and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson. Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jackson. Jackson is trying to stall.
Jackson successfully pulls guard.
Jackson controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself. Silva working some strikes from top position. Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top! Jackson trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself. Silva has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jackson has passed into side control.
Silva is not content to let Jackson control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is trying to work for a sweep but Jackson has mounted him! Silva taking shots to the head. Silva wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jackson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Jackson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jackson is going olschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off. Silva is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action. Silva really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Jackson has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Silva wants to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Jackson pulls Silva in close to his closed guard and prevents Silva from doing any damage or advancing position. Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson has his hands on Silva's head, controlling the position. Silva postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard. Jackson forces his way into half guard. Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Silva is controlling Jackson's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs. Silva wants to improve his position but Jackson is controlling well.
Jackson is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Karl Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Silva missing with punches from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson fails with the takedown and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard. Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Silva cracks Jackson with a solid left hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Mano Silva showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
