Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pfeifer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pfeifer thows a huge punch but Pe de Ferro dodges it nicely.
Pfeifer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pe de Ferro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pfeifer.
Pfeifer is working for a submission of some sort.
Pe de Ferro wants to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Pfeifer wants to take a breather but Pe de Ferro is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pfeifer in particular looking to stall.
Pe de Ferro wants to sweep but Pfeifer has passed to side control!

Pe de Ferro wants to control his opponent's hands but Pfeifer gets his hands free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pe de Ferro tries to roll but Pfeifer sticks to his back.

Pfeifer just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Despite being in the dominant position, Rico Pfeifer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pfeifer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pfeifer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Pe de Ferro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pfeifer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pfeifer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pe de Ferro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pfeifer on the ground.

Pfeifer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rick Pe de Ferro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pe de Ferro has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Pfeifer just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
