Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karry Mountain! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Antonio Cardillo! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardillo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mountain swings wildly with an uppercut but Cardillo uses good head movement to avoid it. Cardillo jumps guard and drags Mountain to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cardillo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mountain is one step ahead there. Cardillo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mountain tumbling to the mat - Cardillo dives into Mountain's guard. Cardillo forces his way into half guard. Cardillo wants to free his trapped foot but Mountain is holding on for dear life with his legs. Cardillo wants to control but Mountain is keeping him busy. Antonio Cardillo has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cardillo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. That's one minute gone in the round. Cardillo moves nicely into side control. Cardillo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mountain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mountain is trying to improve his position. Cardillo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mountain keeps working. Cardillo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mountain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cardillo but great work by Mountain.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cardillo is looking to regain half guard here but Mountain keeps moving and retains side control. Mountain tries to move to mount but Cardillo blocks the move with his legs. Cardillo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Cardillo is looking for a kimura but Mountain is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cardillo to get the leverage. Cardillo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mountain prevents Cardillo from taking his back. Cardillo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cardillo looking for a guillotine from mount but Mountain is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cardillo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mountain manages to avoid the submission attempt. Mountain wants to control but Cardillo postures up. Cardillo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mountain's shoulder. That is not cool. Cardillo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cardillo has hold of Mountain's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mountain tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Cardillo cranks the arm and Mountain screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mountain, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

A very excited looking Antonio Cardillo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
