Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benito Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crusher Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Benito Sobral!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Crusher Jones!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sobral drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.

Sobral pulls guard.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sobral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones content to stall in guard here.
Sobral has his hands on Jones's head, controlling the position.
Sobral's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sobral working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Sobral's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
