The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lad clinches up against the ropes.
Knox is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Knox misses with a hook to the ribs.
Knox pushes Lad back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lad has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A nice left hand lands by Knox.
Knox goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lad throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Lad tries a body shot but Knox blocks it.

Knox lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lad backwards.

Lad swings wildly with an uppercut but Knox uses good head movement to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lad throws a head punch that misses.
Lad throws a punch but it's blocked by Knox.
Knox has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Lad seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Knox can turn it around.

Knox creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Lad crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Lad face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Knox takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
