Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Carpenter gets a clinch. Barnes tries to pull guard but Carpenter won't allow it.
Carpenter is pressed up against the cage. Barnes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Carpenter down to the mat. Carpenter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. No, Carpenter has managed to get both his arms back between Barnes's legs - danger averted. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carpenter defends it easily.
