Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willy Mataitai (ranked 265 p4p, 840 weight class) and Shen Po (ranked 38 p4p, 121 weight class). Po has chosen Ei-tetsu Hayashi & 木下伸市 as his entrance music. Shen Po has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Willy Mataitai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shen Po!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mataitai misses with a right hand
letting Po counter with a right hand.
It looks like Willy Mataitai has been cut.
Mataitai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Po.
Po looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Po slips under a jab.
A slow jab from Mataitai misses its intended target.
Po tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Mataitai throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Po counters with a straight right hand.
Mataitai drops his hands momentarily and Po takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Po steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mataitai.
Mataitai walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mataitai is rocked!
Po tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Mataitai to counter with a crisp jab.
Po closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mataitai counters with a stiff right hand.
Mataitai looks to score with a jab to the body but Po is just out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mataitai looks to land a combination. Po sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Po just misses with a punch to the body.
Mataitai throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Po on the side of the head.
Mataitai moves out of range as Po strikes.
Mataitai scores with a nice head shot.
Po looks up at the clock. Bad move! Mataitai lands a right hand from hell, dropping Po. Mataitai pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willy Mataitai!
