Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Reed (ranked 1157 p4p, 1737 weight class) and African King (ranked 167 p4p, 230 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, African King!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reed swivels and escapes.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that King has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Reed lands a right hook to the body.

King fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reed, pushing him back against the cage.

Reed lands a hook that snaps the head of King backwards.

King swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Reed gets underhooks to prevent King's takedown attempt.
Reed pushes King back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
King can't find room to land a body shot as Reed controls the action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

King takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like African King has been cut.
Reed thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on King if he has to take too many more of those.
Reed moves out of range of the body kick.
King throws the left hand but Reed avoids the punch easily.
Reed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but King was well out of range. Poor timing from Reed.
Reed lands a really nice looking cross but King seems unphased.

Reed stuns King with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Reed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Reed lands with a hook. King tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reed paws at him with a jab and circles away.

King avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
King swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Reed lands a really nice looking cross but King seems unphased.
King is still on wobbly legs! Can Reed finish him?
