The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvatore darts in trying to clinch
and Franklin counters with a single leg into guard. Salvatore didn't expect that.
Franklin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salvatore has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franklin has managed to get both his arms back between Salvatore's legs - danger averted.

Salvatore manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Franklin manages to get himself to full guard.
