Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rugg.
Rugg wants to clinch.

It looks like Christopher Gracie has been cut.

Rugg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rugg sprawls well. Rugg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Rugg is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.
Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rugg can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rugg is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
A nice elbow there by Gracie.

Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rugg is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position!

Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rugg manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rugg has him pressed against the cage.

Gracie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie scores with the left hand. Rugg knows he should have avoided that one.

Rugg misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rugg is breathing heavily.
Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rugg manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Rugg in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matt Rugg.
I think Rugg has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
