Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rasmus Reedtz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buzz Killer!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reedtz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Killer moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Killer fails to land.
Killer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reedtz has him pressed against the cage.
Reedtz blocking some punches.
Killer stalling against the cage.
The referee calls for Killer to work.
The crowd are getting on Killer's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Reedtz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killer goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

A head punch on the inside from Killer fails to land.
Killer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Reedtz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Killer lands with a light punch inside.

Killer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Killer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Killer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Reedtz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Killer!

Killer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Killer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Killer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Reedtz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reedtz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reedtz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Killer for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reedtz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
