Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacky Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zacky Stevenson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Bailey! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zacky Stevenson! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bailey tries for a takedown but Stevenson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stevenson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bailey takes one to the side of the head.
Stevenson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bailey. Bailey circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bailey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Stevenson is wriggling around but Bailey manages to pass to half guard.
Bailey seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Stevenson tries to roll over but Bailey keeps him under control. Stevenson trying to hold on to Bailey's head to control him but Bailey postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bailey is breathing heavily. Bailey pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Stevenson can't escape the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bob Bailey just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Stevenson tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bailey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stevenson as he avoids it easily. Jab, jab by Stevenson - just one landing. Bob Bailey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bailey shoots in but no luck this time. Stevenson leaves Bailey with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Bailey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stevenson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stevenson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bailey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Stevenson works over Bailey's head and body with a nice combination. Bailey is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stevenson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Stevenson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bob Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevenson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Stevenson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Stevenson lands a jab-cross combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stevenson scores with a jab to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson looks to land a combination but Bailey avoids it well. Stevenson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bailey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bailey throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Stevenson is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Bailey is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Stevenson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bailey on the side of the head. Bailey on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevenson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bailey on the side of the head. Bailey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stevenson is fending him off so far but Bailey persists. Nope, Stevenson circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Bailey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stevenson throws the kick towards the body but Bailey avoids it. The crowd cheers as Stevenson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bailey doesn't seem phased though. Stevenson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bailey. Stevenson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Bailey shoots in and drives through. Stevenson sprawls well. Stevenson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bailey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stevenson pinned against the cage. Stevenson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bailey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Zacky Stevenson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stevenson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Stevenson duly obliges. Stevenson lands a nice hook to Bailey's body. Bailey takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Stevenson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Stevenson catches Bailey with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Stevenson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Bailey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stevenson tries to avoid it but Bailey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stevenson to the ground. Stevenson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Bailey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevenson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Stevenson scores with a three punch combo!
Stevenson sizes up Bailey with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Stevenson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bailey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bailey wants to control from the top but Stevenson keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevenson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bailey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stevenson is trying to control the position but Bailey postures up. Stevenson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bailey is one step ahead there.

Bailey passes into half guard. Bailey controlling the action here. Stevenson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bailey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bailey's back! Bailey manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stevenson's guard. Nice work there by Bailey.

Bailey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bailey is stalling in the full guard. Bailey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stevenson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bailey has picked Stevenson up and slammed him! Stevenson can't keep hold of the triangle and Bailey manages to pass to side control! Bailey moves into full mount!

Bailey looking to sit in guard and control but Stevenson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stevenson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
