PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brick Bronson (ranked 25032 p4p, 4882 weight class) and Flavio De Rossi (ranked 284 p4p, 234 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bronson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall. Brick Bronson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bronson gets a clinch.
Bronson lands a knee to the body.
De Rossi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bronson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
De Rossi is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bronson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Bronson prevents the takedown attempt.
Brick Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flavio De Rossi.

De Rossi advances position into side control!
Bronson tries to bench press De Rossi off him but De Rossi keeps the position.
De Rossi controls the position from side control.
Bronson is not content to let De Rossi control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Rossi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Bronson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
De Rossi takes a little break here. Bronson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
De Rossi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bronson is trying to improve his position.
De Rossi controls the position from side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bronson takes the fight into the clinch.
De Rossi has Bronson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bronson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

De Rossi has clasped his hands together around Bronson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Bronson is pushing De Rossi's head away, looking to escape. De Rossi manages to hold on to the position though.
De Rossi moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Bronson is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De Rossi content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Bronson is looking for a sweep.
Bronson is working hard here to advance position.

De Rossi is working to tighten his grip on Bronson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bronson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but De Rossi is really squeezing tight and eventually Bronson passes out! De Rossi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
